Fantastic Mr. Fox may be a fun charming animated film with the intelligence of a fox, but it's not really a fantastic movie. The movie does have a laid-back, calm, mature feel in it's structure (which adults believed that it's fun to watch and it is), but that makes the entertainment value not live up to it's full potential, not to mention that as a children's film, this film would probably get half the population of the children bored. There are some clever funny moments, but other moments of comedy is not sharp enough to get almost any laugh, and when the movie's narrative gets to the third act, the movie has totally forgotten that it was supposed to be a comedy. The plotting for the screenplay makes this film fun to watch and director "Wes Anderson" is a master at doing at doing that. From George Clooney who voiced the clever and attractive Mr. Fox to Michael Gambon who voiced the vengeful and thuggish Franklin Bean, The voice cast is absolutely wonderful and the voice acting delivers such a realistic approach to an animated movie. The stop motion animation is on par with The Nightmare Before Christmas and the character designs really reflects on how the characters behaved. Every time the title of the scene that was going to play pops up, it makes this whole plot very engaging and clever enough to keep being interesting. The music score by Alexandre Desplat is really interesting and very unique, because he has a different approach on the instrumentation instead of going for the usual traditional orchestral sound. This film is one of those movies that don't have an orchestral sound. The music for this film is whimsical, fun, colorful, and has such a great setup for the entire movie. The film has a positive message: What you think you are is not always what you are. Don't deny your true nature. For recommendation, this film is truly recommended to be worth a solid rental.

Y'know why stop-motion animation isn't widely used? Cause it's hard as hell to do right, I mean look at the Lego movie. Guess what movie provided the best stop-motion miniatures film ever... This one. All star cast, excellent director, beautifully stylized, and source material from one of the most creative people to ever live. This movie could get all the praise in the world and would still be underrated.

One of Wes Andersons better films. Do not let the animation fool you, although it is adapted from a kids novel this film is really for adults. A morality tale about being who you are, there is something in here for everyone to enjoy. Kids and adults will love them film. From the visuals to the music this is a solid family night movie to watch. A little more high brow than you are used to seeing do not let the dry humor turn you off. Enjoy the story.
