In About Water, documentary filmmaker Udo Maurer takes us to the outskirts of human civilization and the stories of the dealings with the "wet element". From inundated Bangladesh, where houses turn into boats, to the steppe of Kazakhstan, where fishing villages lie in the middle of the desert, and finally to the densely populated slums of Nairobi, where drinking water becomes a matter of life and death.
