This movie keeps your attention the entire time with constantly introducing new questions and answers to the plot. Right when you think you figured things out, something else is thrown into the mix. The only problem I had, was that the acting when the father is talking to people on the phone is a little over done and a bit generic, but overall a really good movie. Also another cool attention to detail(as someone who works in IT) is the multiple different operating systems they display on the computer screens.

A fine execution using a difficult directing style -- everything told through videos/messages on a computer screen. There were periods of sluggishness here and there, but I was impressed by how suspenseful the movie was given it's limitations and basic theme. The acting especially was fantastic when you consider what they had to work with/against.

It's good but not amazing. In terms of production value and concept Searching is a great film. It looses me a bit with some of the twists later on in the film. Also I'm not a fan of Debra Messing. I think they could've casted a better lead detective. I liked the film but doubt I will ever watch again.
