About this movie

Crime never sleeps. Neither does Will Dormer, a veteran LAPD homicide detective sent north to Alaska to head a murder case. There his investigation is disrupted by an ever-shining Midnight Sun that wreaks sleep-depriving havoc on his body clock and brings Dormer's shady, guilt-plagued past into the light of day.

This is one my favorite Robin Williams films that no one mentions when listing his films. People seem to have amnesia when it comes to many of the films he's done. Some of his best work was in the films no one else seems to be able to recall. So sad.. But it's to be expected. Sheeple copies what other Sheeple do. 😐

Up there with his best performances, tensioned but with well built characters. Robin Williams is also memorable - and I am not even a fan - very credible and ridden with human weakness at the same time.

Al Pacino's movies lately had been declining at this point. However, the real star of the film was Robin Williams. I combine this with One Hour Photo which also displayed Robin's dark side. The plot appears typical, but felt like a worthwhile film. I totally recommend it!
