I wouldn't recommend this to someone looking for an action flick. It's slow. I'm pretty certain the writer does not know much about guns. There is a scene in the beginning where the heroin shoots the lock to an apartment door before walking in on her unaware victim. Even though the shooter was using a silencer, the door would have resonated the bullets impact on the lock like a cannon. I knew the story was in trouble right from that point. It's not a total bomb of a movie, but it's close.

I love Henson. I do but this was bad. Saw it in the theatre. Its not cohesive at all. Whoever wrote it dialed it in and everyone just hopped on board. At one point Danny Glovers acting is dubbed over with his own voice track and its painfully apparent, etc, etc. Anyway, Miss Henson is worth much more than this. She needs a vehicle that is thoughtfully and skillfully crafted instead of Proud Mary. Believe me its nothing to be proud of.

Taraji, the best! But could not save this film. It was rush, lack story development between Mary and the young boy. (as to why she felt so compelled to give up everything) rushed sumarizations. The end was the best scene. The editing took away the soul and understanding of the movie. With all of this talent in these actors; Margaret Avery, Taraji P. Henson, Danny Glover, Neal McDonough ect; Come on now!!!... the producers and director failed miserably. Face it. It was poorly executed, and the story line needed improvement!
