About this movie

A hungry sandpiper hatchling ventures from her nest for the first time to dig for food by the shoreline. The only problem is that the food is buried beneath the sand where scary waves roll up onto the shore.

I SO WISH, DISNEY HAD GIVEN THIS LITTLE GUY PIPER, WHO WAS BORN A LITTLE BIRD WITH ATTITUDE,. UNTIL HIS MOTHER POINTED OUT TO HIM, EVERYBODY CATCHES THEIR OWN, THAT LITTLE BIRD IS ABSOLUTELY THE CUTEST THING I HAVE. EVER SEEN. HE GETS KNOCKED OVER, LOOKS VERY FRAZZLED, BUT OUR PIPER GETS UP AGAIN TO FACE THE WATER, HE EVEN FINDS OUT HOW HE CAN FEED A LOT OF HIS, FRIENDS, PIPER LOOKS SO CUTE, HAS SO MUCH ATTITUDE, IT WOULD BE LOVELY IF HE EXISTED LONGER THAN 6 MINUTES, SO A LOT OF NOT ONLY SMALL CHILDREN LEARNED HOW QUICKLY PIPER LEARNED TO FEND FOR HIMSELF, BECAME A LITTLE BURD WITH ATTITUDE, AND EVEN LOOKED AFTER HIS FAMILY IN THE END. THAT PIRER, WITH LOTS OF ATTITUDE

I absolutely LOVE Pixar's animated shorts but this is quickly one of my favorites! 1 birds are adorable but 2, everything from the environment to the character animation just looks so realistic! It's amazing how far animation has come. I mean... it's a short 6 min film how much can I really say about it. Get it, enjoy it.

Such a perfect little story, cute and from the heart. Also this is an incredible technical achievement!! Every grain of sand absorbing it's own unique light just how it would IRL, the particles under the water showing down the the smallest piece of broken off calcium, the feathers flowing in the wind freely, I would buy a bluray just for the behind the scenes to this amazing film!
