About this movie

The Caped Crusader takes on a whole new look, and the world's most dangerous villains, in this full-length animated feature. This high- octane anthology features six different Batman stories, each from a diverse list of creators, including Academy Award-nominee Josh Olsen ("A History of Violence"), screenwriter of "Batman Begins" David S. Goyer, and award-winning comic book writer Brian Azzarello. The six tales reveal Bruce Wayne's earliest adventures as Batman, as he travels the globe to stop the villainous Scarecrow, Killer Croc and Deadshot. When taken together, the stories in "Batman: Gotham Knight" form a bridge between the blockbuster live-action feature "Batman Begins" and its much-anticipated sequel "The Dark Knight." Produced by the most creative "Batman" team working today, including Bruce Timm (TV's "Justice League Unlimited"), Alan Burnett ("Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker"), and David S. Goyer ("Batman Begins," "Ghost Rider"). MPAA Rating: PG-13 (c) 2008 Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. All Rights Reserved. This movie is made up of 6 short stories about the Dark Knight. The premise is good, yet the execution falls short. The animation style is all over the place with some episodes providing a stylistic experience and others leaving you so off put by the animation you can't focus on the story E1 Kids' stories about Batman -1 E2 Cops, Batman, & Arkham-3 E3 Batman saves Priest frm Scarecrow-4 E4 Batman makes ricocheting armor-3 E5 Power over Pain-4 E6 Batman v. Deadshot-5

If you loved the animated Halo Anthology with the several short films made by renowned anime directors.....then you'll love this ! Exactly the same idea and format, but with Bats as the lead subject material. An excellent idea...I wish they would do this same thing with all my favorite comic heros. ( and the not so heroic, also... ) Well worth the rent...an even wiser investment to buy !

One of the best Batman films I've ever seen. I admire the diffrent approaches of portraying him (not a very big fan of the 1st part of the movie), the art style, character design, and graphics are pretty well displayed. Even the depth perception, voice acting, quality, animation, and attention to detail are at the top of their game.
