Loved the character build and the commonality you could draw given similar circumstances. The end was pretty abrupt but still a good movie overall.

The Iranian setting for this drama adds interest, but it's almost incidental to what makes this film so compelling. This contest between family members, between families, and between social classes could occur in any society. Deeply humane, the film is sympathetic to all the disputants, and the viewer is kept alert by the changes in perspective that come about every fifteen minutes with new turns in the plot and disclosures of information that upset assumptions, though they are always plausible.
