This was a horrible sequel. Vaguely talked about the rebellion. Vaguely discussed what actually happens to district 12. They wasted two and a half hours of my time to set up part 3. This just wasn't necessary. They should have highlighted more of the background. Shown more of the rebellion. And just wait till you get to the ending, after two and a half hours, for that ending, I almost lost my mind. Absolutely ridiculous. Anyone giving this more than three stars should be ashamed of themselves.

When will the proles learn their place, the state always wins. Only in film is this nonsense presented as believable. I realize this is a work of fiction, but it's so poorly written, terrible dialogue, the idea that people still have hope, or even realize when a revolution needs to take place is absurd. Don't waste your time. The only scenes worthwhile are the few which actually display a proper respect for authority and state power. Even so, far more entertaining to watch in real life with the victors being the state.

Hunger games really set the tone and I really wanted to see catching fire, come to find out its a crappy romance movie! I thought there would be way more action like HG1. I'm scared to even think of mockingjay.
