About this movie

Jimmy Hoffa's disappearance is one of the great crimes of the century. Despite a massive Federal investigation spanning 4 decades and hundreds of suspects, only the general contours of the crime are known. In the American mythology Hoffa is both hero and villain; a self-made man who ran the nation's largest union and was so beloved by the rank and file Teamsters he represented that they supported him as union president even as he served time in prison.

Hoffa's name is synonymous with corruption thanks to Bobby Kennedy's campaign against him, but the truth is much more complex. Hoffa's glory years coincided with the golden age of the Union movement and the American economy; he also was enmeshed in the Machiavellian world of organized crime. "Killing Jimmy Hoffa" tells the whole story for the first time, using exclusive interviews, never before seen news footage and photographs, and revealing the real story of the day he died.

I've been hearing about this for forty years. I can't think of any other murder/disappearance mystery that has as many people wondering "What really happened" If you're curious about Jimmy Hoffa, you have to see this movie. Mr. Profit has put together a wealth of information that I never heard of before.

I think it's B.S. Hoffa was killed by the government, because he could and did advance American workers, and the rights of working class people, through the immense wealth of union manpower and money... The mob wouldn't have killed him, because the loans Hoffa made to the mob, advanced their power, also. Hoffa was a serious threat to the established, monied interests.

The first in-depth exploration I've seen of this fascinating and iconic American labor leader. Takes you from his early beginnings in Detroit up through his battles with the Kennedy brothers and finally to a blow by blow description of the events leading up to his disappearance, and a break down of all the suspects. They really tell you what happened to Hoffa and his body--and this is the version I FINALLY can find plausible.
