The special effects were fake. like Superman ripped off his chest and he threw the "S" to the bad guy. Well that was kind of bad, and a lot of silly moments that it didn't take it serious. The acting was good but the film should have been better. Overall I'll give this film a 6 out of 10

I used to like this movie but it realky doesn't hold up well. The effects are terrible and the acting is poor at best. The older that I get, the more I see the Superman character as thin and overpowered. Lets take a monent to acknowledge the stupidly random power of throwing a saran wrap "S" at an enemy...

The WB grand plan is missing the point of Superman. They need to go back for inspiration. The Christopher Reeves Superman movies got it right. This movie, for example, showed that Superman was clever as well as strong, vulnerable in some areas of his life, and yet still the paragon of truth and justice that he's always known to be. Zod was just plain AWESOME in his megalomania, and Gene Hackman once again was brilliant as Lex Luthor. This is how a Superman movie should be, not what WB is trying to sell us.
