About this movie

Facing Christmas 3,000 miles from his estranged wife and two children, New York policeman John McClane (Bruce Willis) flies to Los Angeles bearing presents and hoping to patch up his marriage. Stylish and cool Hans Gruber (Alan Rickman) is in Los Angeles as well for the holiday season, but he's not there to give out presents. He's there to take more than $600 million in negotiable bearer bonds from the multinational Nakatomi Corporation, where McClane's wife Holly (Bonnie Bedelia) is an executive. When the takeover becomes hostile, it's up to John McClane to take on the terrorists with all the grit and determination he can muster--but not without a sense of humor.

Not a review for the movie more for the ability to watch the movie. Im sorry but slapping 4k on something and upcharging when the movie was made in 1988 is a bunch of bull, you'd be lucky if its in 1080p. On top of that the video player seems to want to buffer for ever as its been 6 minutes with high speed internet and the video is still buffering. The streaming services are a joke today, $12 a services and you have to have 13 different services to watch maybe, MAYBE 60% of stuff out there.

The movie is a 5 Star for sure... but only offering it in 4k so they can up the price is a stupid move. The movie was shot 30 years ago and even with the original film, you probably can't get to 4k level and on top of that, many of us don't have TVs that can handle 4k. Google messed up on this one and I got it from Amazon instead.

Most of the Die Hard movies are really good. This one and number 3 are great. Don't listen to the professional critics. I have come to realize that they don't like anything and are often nasty and mean. Ignore them.
