About this movie

Based on the novel "The Wettest County in the World," which was inspired by the true-life tales of author Matt Bondurant's family. The film follows the infamous bootlegging Bondurant Brothers as they make a run for the American Dream in Prohibition-era Virginia. The loyalty of the brothers is put to the test against a backdrop of the nation's most notorious crime wave. Starring Shia LaBeouf (TRANSFORMER FRANCHISE), Tom Hardy (INCEPTION, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES), Gary Oldman (BATMAN BEGINS FRANCHISE), Guy Pearce (PROMETHEUS, MEMENTO), Jessica Chastain (THE HELP, THE TREE OF LIFE), and Mia Wasikowska (ALBERT NOBBS).

I was already a Shia fan (his comedic side) and this movie made me a Tom Hardy fan. I've seen Hardy's minor roles in other movies but he has much more of a starring role in this film. Shia plays a much more serious role in this film which is necessary for the storyline. He's still snarky but loses the cheesy one liners endemic to Transformers. There isn't a movie that's directly comparable to Lawless either so I give it a thumbs up for originality in that regard too.

I love history. I'm at ease to know we still agree to defend ourselves and our beliefs. I firmly believe in breaking the law when needed. Better to break than be broken. Theres only one Judge. Love is why we are here. No law or any other way living controls me. Tom Hardy is definitely a protector. Fearless eyes. Very handsome and well spoken. He delivered the strength of lawless. To me anyway. Well done!

If your a tom hardy fan you'll enjoy his stellar performance as. The oldest of the brothers just trying to make a living in the depression. Great performances by shia and Jason Clarke. The sound track is also a huge part of the movie mainlined by Dr. Ralph Stanley a must for those blue grass Fan's. Enjoy
