About this movie

Through the history of mankind, the times that are most recorded in mythology and song are those of great deeds and fantastic adventures. Such a time was the Hyborean Age. Such a tale is the story of "Conan The Barbarian". The Cimmerian, Conan (Arnold Schwarzenegger), is captured as a child after his parents' savage murder by raiding Vanir led by Thulsa Doom (James Earl Jones), head also of the malignant snake-cult of Set. Fifteen years' agony, first chained to the Wheel of Pain grinding grain and then enslaved as a Pit Fighter, forge a magnificent body and indomitable spirit. Freed miraculously one day by his owner, Conan, with his companions Subotai the Mongol (Gerry Lopez) and Valeria, Queen of Thieves (Sandahl Bergman), sets forth upon his quest to learn "the riddle of steel" which, his father has prophesied, will confer ultimate power, and to kill the arch-villain Thulsa Doom.

I am American and would love to buy this but I live in Mexico. I realize Mexicans are thieves, but looks like I will have to be too. thepiratebay here I come. PS this movie rocks, regional restrictions in the 21st century are BS.

several times (Conan was supposed to fight the skeleton in the crypt for the sword, parents weren't murdered, no, "Wheel of Pain" etc. in the books) but by Crom vastly, infinitely superior to the Jason Mamoa remake! Arnold's, "... age undreamed of" was gritty. Jason's wasn't. This film feels like a period piece, whereas the remake was aimed at youth who'd never (probably can't) read the R. E. Howard book! With all its flaws, still definitely the best sword-and-sorcery film to date!

If you want to watch a true to the story of Conan movie see the newest with Jason Momoa! It is NOT a remake! The movie stayed true to the story & Momoa embodies Conan much better than Mr. Caleeforneea did!
