I had such high hopes for this movie based on the preview. And I think the premise is great, but it would've been more masterfully developed in the hands of a William Friedkin or Stanley Kubrick. This film feels limited by budget restrictions, as if it's more of a film school project. There were definitely some creepy moments but overall the story didn't go far enough, and it didn't take full advantage of the main character: the house itself.

Do not waste your time. Only the last 20 minutes were watchable. And don't let the flashes fool you, that's what got me.

If u appreciate old Hitchcock presentations and the twilight zone, for the way they utilize black and white filming, you'll love this. It does fail to capture any character connection or attachment, however the beyond its era type filming makes up for it. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an outside the box thriller.
