In a terrifying tale of the "American Dream" gone horribly wrong, residents of a picture-perfect Midwestern town begin to succumb to an uncontrollable urge for violence when a mysterious toxin in the water supply turns everyone exposed to it into mindless killers. Sheriff David Dutton (Timothy Olyphant of JUSTIFIED); his pregnant wife, Judy (Radha Mitchell of SILENT HILL); Becca (Danielle Panabaker of FRIDAY THE 13th), an assistant at the medical center; and Russell (Joe Anderson of ACROSS THE UNIVERSE), Dutton's deputy and right-hand man, find themselves trapped in a once idyllic town they can no longer recognize. Unable to trust former neighbors and friends, deserted by the authorities and terrified of contracting the illness themselves, they are forced to band together in a nightmarish struggle for survival in this reinvention of the George Romero classic.

This movie reminds me of the Playstation exclusive The Last of Us, the most awarded game in history, and arguably the greatest game ever made. In the game an unusual sickness spreads that turns everyone insane, and they all start killing each other. If you haven't played it you really should.

I think this movie was zombie related but dont think this movie is about one type of plague or virus something overall movie good some movies I watched I think I am in survival situation like dying light ,lastof us ,dead rising game amazing movie good horror scenes like purge 2,3 movie I hope you enjoy movie I like zombies movie make more and more zombie movie I watched full season of walking dead 3 times I like horror,suvive ,suspense,thriller,scifi drama movie I like movie because some movies are showing they kill human like unreal in one shot thats not possible with out gun some zombies movie they make comedy I am not agree comedy in zombie movie stupid director like shaun of the dead they Dont under stand ZOMBIE movie we dont think about comedy but I hope we don't compare with real life

This should not be compared to Romero's low budget movies. Yeah, yeah, I know he's a Producer for this movie but it's more of a realistic Zombie scenario and the acting is way better. Poor Iowa. You're on your toes through practically the whole movie. This is one of the better apocalyptic movies. Bravo.
