About this movie

The true story behind the murders that many crime scholars believe to be the most perplexing series of unsolved crimes in modern history comes to the screen in chilling detail as Fight Club and Seven director David Fincher steps behind the camera to tell the mysterious tale of the infamous Zodiac killer. A relentless serial killer is stalking the streets of the San Francisco Bay Area, leaving citizens locked into a constant state of panic and baffled authorities scrambling for clues. Though the killer sadistically mocks the detectives by leaving a series of perplexing ciphers and menacing letters at the crime scenes, the investigation quickly flat-lines when none of the evidence yields any solid leads. As two detectives remain steadfast in their devotion to bringing the elusive killer to justice, they soon find that the madman has control not only over their careers, but their very lives as well.

This film was executed phenomenally, on all levels. I could go on for hours on how well it was EXECUTED. The only problem was how it was planned and written, in terms of giving us the information. When I was given clues, info, suspicions, evidence, etc. I felt that it wasn't made clear, there was to much to follow, and therefore I couldn't follow the reasons and therefore the story and be happy when they achieved something or where stopped because I didn't know what was going on. They could've fixed this by either saying, portraying, or showing us the info more clearly { slowly, etc. } or cut some info that wasn't needed. I do feel though that all of the info was needed to tell the story, it just needed to be told more clearly and definitive SO I CAN FOLLOW THE STORY and say "yes I KNOW what's going on, they got that info from this place, and know they believe this, and are now going to cause this. For all stories and ESPECIALLY this, this element needs to be nailed, so audiences can understand, have an opinion, and care for the story, WHICH IS KEY.

I love this movie, and all other David Fincher movies. He's the best. This is such a great work that I can't say it all so I will just give it five stars. The murder scenes are actually scary, too, which is a huge plus. The cast is also on point. I'd buy it, but it's free on Netflix right now and I'm watching it for the second in a day or so as I type this review.
