"Audrey" is a unique comedy chronicling an hour in the life of Audrey is a hopeful, yet terribly insecure 29-year-old romantic: hopeful because she is about to have the all-important third date with Gene, a man who may prove to be the love of her life; and insecure because she lives in secret terror that she isn't good enough for anyone. As the minutes tick by with no sign of Gene fails to show up for their date at a lovely bistro, Audrey's pleasant inner life turns scary. Through fantasies and flashbacks, Audrey's inner demons -- many connected to universal female insecurities of beauty, weight and youth -- wreak increasingly comic havoc on her, for she is becoming convinced that it must be her inferiority in ALL these areas that is keeping Gene away. Tensions mount and explode into the very real world around her. Forced to face her demons by circumstances -- both real and hilariously unreal -- Audrey finds the strength and courage she never imagined she had, triumphing in touching and unexpected ways.
