About this movie

Get ready for "five times the action, excitement and fun" (Shawn Edwards, FOX-TV) as Vin Diesel and Paul Walker lead a reunion of all-stars from every chapter of the franchise built on speed. Fugitive Dom Toretto (Diesel) partners with former cop Brian O'Conner (Walker) on the opposite side of the law in exotic Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. There, they are hunted by a high-powered U.S. strike force led by its toughest Fed (Dwayne Johnson) and an army of corrupt cops working for a ruthless drug kingpin. To gain their freedom and win this ultimate high-stakes race they must pull off one last job - an insane heist worth $100 million.

One of the most surprising movies I've seen...ever. The first few Fast and Furious movies are acceptable, dumb action movies with some fun moments. However, they tend to fall short in terms of story, acting (though Vin Diesel is always a highlight), characters...basically anything that doesn't have a fast car or a woman in a thong. This movie was the first to switch up the formula and make the movies exciting. Better action, camerawork, characters. And Hobbs. Can't forget about the Rock.

Fast movies started out with a specific storyline that made sense, but as the series became popular, so did the realization from the studios that they don't need to create detailed stories or moderate acting. As a result, this movie just cashed in on bringing back popular characters with absolutely no logic behind people coming back to life. When you watch this movie, you have to purposely set your expectations very low, then you might enjoy it.

Vin Deisel and the Rock bring out the best of the whole cast. Tyrese Gibson is hilarious and Paul Walker is fantastic like always. Something that's definitely improved is the storytelling, although it still has some of those classic clichés. The action was fast paced and the fighting was well done!
