About this movie

The peaceful realm of Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilization faces a fearsome race of invaders: Orc warriors fleeing their dying home to colonize another. As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction. From opposing sides, an unlikely set of heroes are set on a collision course that will decide the fate of their families, their people and their home. So begins a spectacular saga of power and sacrifice in which war has many faces, and everyone fights for something. (Original Title - Warcraft) - 2016 Universal Studios. All Rights Reserved.

Just because it's Warcraft it gets 3 stars. The acting was fine; it was the story that was at fault. I felt the story should have just concentrated on the invasion of the orcs into Azeroth and the battle with the humans. A side story of the uninfected orcs would show a growing rebellion against Guldan with more and more being revealed why the green orcs are doing what they are. The end of the movie would naturally show victory for the humans, Gul'dan escaping and the orcs forming the horde. Queue Warcraft 2 with Thrall and Varian leading the respective factions and more of the races of Warcraft being included. But it is what it is and I applaud the special effects and CGI.

First of all.. its hard to look at the movie if you are a by hearth fan of world of... Looking at it more objectively.. i liked it.. storycould be more dramatic and the human side could have used a bit more drama on display. As somebody mentioned before some scenes felt a bit childishly made while the orcs where more appealing/realistic. But in the end id say in total it was very entertaining.. not many movies around which derive from games and are that well made i have to admit. Sequel soon i hope

I'm relatively new to WOW, but have been an avid fantasy reader, AD&D player as well as Warhammer before so the fantasy plot line and the story of how the humans and the orcs first declared war in each other wasn't too hard to get my head around. It would be nice for their to be a second, worth watching.
