Daniel Craig, Naomi Watts and Rachel Weisz star in this suspense-thriller about a family that moves into the perfect house only to find it was once the home to mysterious and tragic events. 2011 Universal Studios. All Rights Reserved.
A well-acted but ramshackle mess.
Was the screenplay, credited to David Loucka, this schizophrenic from the beginning? Or was some major tampering/reworking done at some point?
The film's ambitions are woefully small and familiar.
This suburban gothic is a logy, convoluted mess.
While Will and Libby struggle to adjust their thinking caps, the viewer already knows, thanks to the tell-all trailer, the reason for much of the confusion.
This crackpot thriller from the usually competent Jim Sheridan leaves only one mystery unsolved: what on earth was he thinking?
Brilliant!!! A tragic story of mistaken identity. The vulnerability Daniel Craig brings to the movie hits a realistic nerve that a loss no matter how great or small can leave you shattered, but the treasured memories you hold on to is your story to tell.
Good Movie, Don't Watch Trailer It was a great movie if you don't watch the trailer, and a good one if you do. The trailer gives away a major plot twist. Whomever was in charge of making this trailer should be fired. Without a doubt.
Wild I love it all most every day I will watch it at night time because I wat to fell scared for some reason. This will not help little kids because if you show this to little kids they might cry, scream, yell and they might try to do the same thing they see on tv.
Not that scary ... Good in the suspense but lacking in the scary department. I like to watch movies that will make me SCARED. This doesn't even come close. I like to watch movies to NOT have to think. I want some one else to do that for me for about 1½ or 2 hours. Not this flick. You had better put the beer down and pay attention. If you miss something, you'll be lost for a while. But that's the movies, right? You never know what you're going to like until you start watching. Just like that box of chocolates. (Sorry. I just had to add that!)
