Visually breathtaking. where in God's name they found the God aweful music, I just can't say. If you turn the volume completely down, this movie is very enjoyable. My first thought was.. geez.. someone was on a good acid trip while writing this... The plot seem very scattered, the weirdness seemed to be there just for weirdness sake. The stunts and costuming are so very beautiful... could do without the rest.

I work at "O" by cirque du soleil giving backstage tours for vip guests. I watched this specifically for research, and the beginning of this film is pretty cool, especially with choosing to use O as the first illusion she sees. However I personally feel like this film gives away the best parts of each show, lol O's opening curtain is iconic as well as is the clown who stays on fire, the bateau, the synchronized swimmers, and the comet characters. It is pretty strange out of context, not to mention the overall story is confusing. I think it's worth a watch if you've seen these shows in person before committing to this film. I also think James Cameron should have stayed with one show/stage rather than mixing together O's french theme, KA's Chinese theme, Beatles LOVE music, Elvis music, Mystere's quirk....it just doesn't make much sense. Feels like he wanted to steal and blend Cirque's visual artistry to make his own money. Sorry not sorry. These shows are perfect in their own ~separate~ ways, so please just buy a ticket to attend in person. lol

I'd rather dig my eyes out with a spoon than watch this film. So slow and pointless that I couldn't finish. People can hang and dance? Yay! Dullness at its best.
