I Saw the Devil is a shockingly violent and stunningly accomplished tale of murder and revenge. The embodiment of pure evil, Kyung-chul is a dangerous psychopath who kills for pleasure. On a freezing, snowy night, his latest victim is the beautiful Juyeon, daughter of a retired police chief and pregnant fiancée of elite special agent Soo-hyun. Obsessed with revenge, Soo-hyun is determined to track down the murderer, even if doing so means becoming a monster himself. And when he finds Kyung-chul, turning him in to the authorities is the last thing on his mind, as the lines between good and evil fall away in this diabolically twisted game of cat and mouse.

Watch this suspenseful, dark movie packed with emotion and a lot of "would I do the same?" moments. Then ask yourself that question. So sad that movies with actual substance and story, with complex characters are coming from so many places other than Hollywood. Actually, no it isn't, as these directors and actors are doing it for the love of the craft, not fame and fortune, as can be seen in this film.

Hard to describe. It's suspenseful and the acting is excellent. Cinematography is also excellent. My issues don't arise until about 2/3rds of the way through. No special agent would make the kinds of mistakes our lead character does and then continue to make them especially with the consequences that arise. It's just not remotely believe near the end. Ridiculous. It goes from excellent to horrible because of the idiotic plot near the end.

Well I guess i did not realize that this was dubbed until it started and i read the bottom... I thought it was subbed.. never ever under any circumstance should live films be dubbed. It.Ruins.Everything.
