I'm a huge fan of Spider-Man and my favorite villain is Venom, so it goes without saying that this was such a disappointment after seeing the way they handled the character. Venom has the potential and demands his own movie - cramming two villains into one movie is a stretch much less three. Topher Grace is not an accurate representation of the massive hulking character that is Eddie Brock. The movie just tries too hard to be better than it's predecessors and does it in the wrong way.

The sandman is the only thing in this film. You might as well burn every other frame that doesn't involve him. Venom was handled like radioactive infant, packed into a cannon and shot at us with damp gunpowder. This film is the worst of Raimi's three, and it's because Raimi/writers mishandled Venom. The execution is disheartening. Someday a film will be made that does justice to the character, and it will be an explosive success.

I'm a huge Spidey fan. I've got and read issues 1-700 of the amazing spider man plus tons of graphic novels. This is the best interpretation of peter parker to date. The amazing spider man lacks the morals that these movies have. Instead of guilt peter gets aunt May eggs... I can't point out how dumb you have to be to love The amazing spider-man without noticing it's an action movies for teenagers. Not a spider-man movie. Such as when the lizard infects 5 cops with lizard virus... They never turn. Smh
