While the original may be dated, it's better than this garbage remake. Original had a 'slow burn' horror element, this is a rushed and contrived experience that misses all the points. Gore IS NOT horror and this remake seems to think otherwise. Some other major flaws of the movie: 1) Group not know a basement existed in the cabin though it was said early on that it was a family cabin. 2) Dog pawing at carpet instantly gives the idea to clear the area and move the rug (when my dog paws at the carpet I tell them to stop) 3) Seemed to know where to find the light switch in the said basement they didn't know existed in their moms cabin. 4) Upon entering the back area filled with hanging animals and when asked what it is the first suggest is "Witchcraft!" (really?) oh and apparently everyone can smell the rotting animals now, not just one person. 5) The spirit/demons are give physical forms seen by the victims 6) Possessed people seem to just pop in some colored contacts and smear fake blood over themselves. I could go on and on...but I think you get the point. Horrible remake...stick with the classic.

they make movies way too short and its terrible ive ceen these type of developments and i got too say it is not worth 9.99$ for just a horror movie i know for a fact that because its a dead person who kills this definetly not worth 9.99$ because if you are letting them buying that much is a scam

It made *this* Evil Dead fand, and hater of "re-imaginings". actually like the new Evil Dead. It ain't the OG, but a remake in the WORLD of Ash...amd it's not bad! Esp. in comparing it with OTHER remakes, and it stands as a fun time.. Worth a watch, I think. The first half of the film is way way better than the other half.. primarily, because it was building up to the chaos in a good way, and once hell's unleashed, it goes more and more downard..
