About this movie

This surprise hit showcases nerdy superstar Pee-wee Herman (Emmy-nominee Paul Reubens - "Blow," TV's "Murphy Brown") in a mad-cap comedy-adventure about a unique "rebel" who takes to the road to track down the kidnappers of his beloved bicycle. Pee-wee Herman is "a genuine cult comic hero," declares Joel Siegel. The Hollywood Reporter raves that this "isn't just the funniest movie of the year; it's one of the funniest movies ever." Special appearances by Emmy-nominee Jan Hooks ("Saturday Night Live"), Emmy and Golden Globe-nominee Morgan Fairchild ("TV's "Friends," TV's "Hotel"), Emmy and Golden Globe-winner James Brolin ("Catch Me If You Can," TV's "Hotel") and rock group Twisted Sister. Directed by Academy Award-nominee Tim Burton ("Tim Burton's Corpse Bride," "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"), written by Reubens and Emmy-winner Phil Hartman ("Saturday Night Live," "NewsRadio"). this movie. if you have never seen pee-wee's big adventure, and you are over the age of twenty-something, you are doing a disservice to yourself. please watch this show. you get bonus points in life experience if you have seen the saturday morning show, or the stand up that gave birth to this creation. without looking at the imdb, the score is very danny elfman, and the director oozes tim burton's timburtonesque appeal. the movie has this squeaky clean twisted appeal. you have to watch it to better understand it. the movie has it's slow spots, but it also has epic moments that should forever be remembered- the tequila dance, large marge, the bike. so much greatness was in this movie. watch it. come on, what else are you doing? who cares about dinner. just watch this movie.

One of Tim Burton's best. Paul Reuben was persecuted by fake news media and cops, for getting caught, masturbating in an ADULT THEATER, watching "Nurse Nancy!" I feel so much safer now that Vice Cops "caught him" instead of the real criminals outside Adult Theater! Note: NO internet Porn back then! A very talented actor's career was destroyed by stupid "Keystone Cops." My question is WHY were they there, ALSO WATCHING IT?
