Okay… So not bad for a rental. I don’t know anything about the budget or any of the directorial information. The overall story arc is good though. Acting is a bit rough around the edges and some of the scenes upon transition have a pause and break type feeling. A good example is the scene where the main character goes to take a knee to talk to his mother. Its seems somewhat choppy. While other scenes transition very well. Like the scenes when the black gentleman is trying to find the boys. Visually the movie is very good in most instances. I’m not sure if the acting issue is just an acting issue or a casting issue <very confusing>. The writing seems solid enough as the ebb and flow cascades and only drones on in a couple of spots <like the end>. So once again back to acting or casting. I honestly don’t think there is a director issue. You work with what you get.

The reason earth was in the cross hairs was different and compelling enough to make for good syfy. The acting was good for newbies and at the same time you knew they were newbies but, by the end of the movie I did care what about their fate. The visual effects added enough to story let you know that other worlds are on the earth and doing their thing. This story as written did't need a lot to assist in the story telling and it was a good story. It was left open ended also, so who knows, maybe there will be more. The back story of the other world and their powers could make for some more good science fiction movies.

Much better than expected. The use of actors and actresses that do not look Hollywood was surprisingly effective. Though it had its weak points I've seen a lot worse from much more expensive movies. At least 2 of the actors are first class and the rest, though sometimes awkward, are likable. We found it enjoyable and well worth our time.
