Ben Watt

North Marine Drive is the debut album of Ben Watt. The album was released on Cherry Red in 1983, prior to Watt's success in Everything but the Girl, and reached number one in the UK Indie Chart the same year. The tone of the album is reflective and melancholic, reminiscent of some of the more stripped-down work of Everything but the Girl. Its sparse, mainly acoustic, instrumentation effectively highlights Watt's songwriting and vocal qualities. Jazz saxophonist Peter King who would go on to collaborate with Everything but the Girl contributes alto saxophone to several tracks.
The title derives from the location in Bridlington, England which is photographed on the album's cover.
CD issues also feature 5 bonus tracks of Watt's collaboration with Robert Wyatt originally released as an EP in March 1982. A downloadable version available from Cherry Red adds a further 3 bonus tracks, originally released on a 1981 single, and later reissued on the compilation album Our Brilliant Careers: Cherry Red Rarities 1981-1983.
The song "Some Things Don't Matter" first appeared on the Cherry Red showcase compilation Pillows & Prayers in 1982.

Tracey Thorn

Tinsel and Lights is a Christmas album by British singer Tracey Thorn. It was released on 29 October 2012 on Buzzin' Fly Records. It is her fourth solo studio album.
The album mostly avoids canonical Christmas songs but instead features covers of songs by Sufjan Stevens, Joni Mitchell, Randy Newman, Ron Sexsmith and The White Stripes as well as self-penned songs. Scritti Politti's Green Gartside features on a cover of Low's "Taking Down the Tree", as well as writing "Snow in Sun". Ben Watt, who is Thorn's husband and partner in Everything but the Girl, plays on most tracks, and their three children provide backing vocals on the track "Joy".
Tinsel and Lights entered the UK Album charts at number 94 on the 10 November 2012

Everything But The Girl

Amplified Heart is the eighth studio album by British musical duo Everything but the Girl. It was released on 13 June 1994 by Atlantic Records in the United States and Canada, and elsewhere by Blanco y Negro Records. The album was recorded and mixed in London from winter 1993 to 1994. Its cover photography was by Corinne Day.
Primarily an acoustic-driven set, Amplified Heart brought Everything but the Girl to mainstream audiences via the dance remix of the song "Missing". Ultimately peaking at number 2 on the US Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in early 1996, "Missing" spent more than a year gaining airplay and exposing Everything but the Girl to US and worldwide audiences, leading Amplified Heart to sell upwards of 232,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. It went on to sell over 1,000,000 copies worldwide.
Amplified Heart was reissued in 2012 by Edsel Records as a two-disc deluxe set.
On May 16, 2019, the band's Twitter account announced a special 25th anniversary pressing of the album on vinyl. Set to be released July 5, 2019, it marks the album's debut in the vinyl format.

Foxbase Alpha

Saint Etienne

Foxbase Alpha is the first album by British band Saint Etienne, released in 1991.
The album was recorded in a style which drew on the club culture and house music of the time, but also incorporates the group's characteristic love of 1960s pop, with tracks also bridged by samples from films or by short songs. At the time of recording, Sarah Cracknell was not fully part of the group, and as a result she does not sing on "Only Love Can Break Your Heart", which is sung by Moira Lambert.
Foxbase Alpha was on the short list of nominees for the 1992 Mercury Prize. It was accompanied by several successful singles, including "Nothing Can Stop Us."

Prefab Sprout

38 Carat Collection is a compilation album by the English pop band Prefab Sprout, released in October 1999 by Columbia Records. It was issued in a double CD version. Each disc is arranged in chronological order, with most of the group's singles appearing on disc 1 and tracks from their six previous studio albums on disc 2.
"Where the Heart Is", the theme from the TV series of same name, was issued as a single in May 2000.

Fever Dream is the third solo studio album by English singer, songwriter, author, and multi-instrumentalist Ben Watt. It was released on 8 April 2016 on Unmade Road. Self-produced at RAK Studios in London, it continues his relationship with guitarist Bernard Butler begun on his award-winning 2014 album, Hendra, and adds guest cameos from MC Taylor of North Carolina folk-rock band, Hiss Golden Messenger, and Boston singer-songwriter Marissa Nadler. It received a 9/10 review in Uncut magazine. In a four-star review, the Guardian said: 'In his early 50s, he is making some of the best music of his career.'

Hendra is the second studio album released by the English singer, author and multi-instrumentalist Ben Watt on April 15, 2014 through Unmade Road, under exclusive license to Caroline International. The record is a collaboration with Bernard Butler and features a guest-appearance by David Gilmour on slide guitar and backing vocals on "The Levels".
This is Watt's first solo album for three-decades since his 1983's debut, North Marine Drive.
