Nice For What
Wrap has no flair for sophisticated individuals who can't make decisions for themselves and I don't have a clue what the hell is going on with the music industry. Please find the love of eccletic sounds awesome and seriously I am not sure what the deal is with all the white kids are the only ones who can buy the music. . that is why meminem is the top selling artist if he is that. #1. Wow. I miss the Metal days.
I know many people tend to criticize hip-hop artists for sampling other artists' music instead of creating something original, but Drake's use of the Lauryn Hill sample is simply amazing. It's rare to hear Drake rap to beats this soulful.
Drake hasn't impressed me in awhile. He's become more of a pop artist than a hip hop artist. Idk, I think he needs to take an extended period of time off to come up with a fresh sound.
I'm a fan of Drake's anyway but I like how he can switch his style up from being hip hop to a little pop, add the occasional song- where he's singing and not rapping... to a little R&B. I like this upbeat tune and you can go wrong with a Lauryn Hill sample anyway.
Its annoying when current artists sample a more established artist instead of explicitly featuring them or collaborating on something new. If they did it would appeal to a wider audience and be more creative. This song samples lauryn hill. I know she isnt making much new music and its a whole thing. But to just sample and not feature is upsetting. To the untrained ear and nonreader of albumliner notes it implies it is all Drake when Lauryn is a legend. Not at all something of his creation. Its a dishonor to her and a disservice to himself. He can do better and I feel like he doesnt show how good he can really be.
So its okay to encourage prostitution and disrespect. OK, you treat people how you want to be treated.
