So Red The Rose
Arcadia
So Red the Rose is the platinum-selling album by the Duran Duran-spinoff group Arcadia, which was released in 1985 — the only album the band ever released. It included the singles "Election Day", "Goodbye Is Forever" and "The Flame".
There were many musical guests on the album, including David Gilmour, Herbie Hancock, Grace Jones, and Sting.
The album's artwork featured painted ink drawings by fashion illustrator Tony Viramontes of fashion model Violeta Sanchez as well as an innovative "light space" photograph of the band by Dean Chamberlain, who also directed the video for the song, "Missing". Nick Rhodes said of the model Sanchez on the album cover, "She had an elegance to her, an old style classic beauty".

Consisting of cover versions, the album performed moderately on the charts, reaching number 12 on the UK Albums Chart and number 19 on the US Billboard 200, but received negative reviews from critics.
The album has garnered a reputation as one of the worst music releases of all time. Q magazine editors ranked it number one in their 2006 list, "The 50 Worst Albums Ever!" In 2014, Brian Boyd of The Irish Times said that the LP is "accurately known as 'the single worst album in the history of recorded music'."
The title cover originally appeared in an edited form on the soundtrack to the 1994 film With Honors. A still shorter edit later appeared on Encomium: A Tribute to Led Zeppelin, a month before the full version was included on this album.

Big Thing
Duran Duran
"I Don't Want Your Love" and "All She Wants Is" made it into the Top 40, but Big Thing only climbed as high as number 24 on the charts. Duran Duran chose novelty over pop conventionalism, opting to make music apropos for seedy burlesque parlors, which many fans couldn't get used to. Outside of the two singles, both "Do You Believe in Shame" (a number 30 hit in the U.K.) and "Lake Shore Driving" hold up the best, while efforts such as "Palomino," "Too Late Marlene," and the title track are more like experiments than rock songs.
