Not a bad record by any means but not a great record. Enter Shikari has been on this downward spiral since A Flash Flood of Colour. The whole tone of the record is very Enter Shikari style but it just isn't special at all.
The Spark is a weaker entry into the previously flawless ES discography. This album lacks a certain range that i've come to expect from ES. A Flash Flood of Colour had a sonic range with heavy drops in Snakepit then calmer sounds from Stalemate. The Mindsweep had The Last Garrison then Dear Future Historians. This Spark lacks that range with all entries being generally calmer that anything ES have done before. 3/5 stars.
At 1st I thought it was too slow. After a day, I can't listen to anything else
Haven't been this excited for an album in years. Hyped!
Why do Google Play not allow you to download the singles already released? Not paying for them twice.
Can't fault Enter Shikari they never let you down.
