Temporarily Disconnected
24-7 Spyz
Temporarily Disconnected is the fourth album from rap/metal/funk pioneers 24-7 Spyz. It features the reunion of the band's classic lineup, including mainstays Jimi Hazel and Rick Skatore along with the return of vocalist P. Fluid and drummer Anthony Johnson. The reunion and subsequent album were based on the lingering popularity of this particular lineup in Europe following the breakup of Strength in Numbers lineup.
Musically, the album was seen by many critics, fans and even some band members as a step backwards from the focused effort of Strength in Numbers. Once again, problems between P. Fluid and the rest of the band came to a head following a 1995 European tour, with Fluid and Johnson exiting the band again shortly thereafter.
Like many 24-7 Spyz albums, this recording is out of print. However, the album is available through iTunes.

God Of Love
Bad Brains
God of Love is the sixth full-length studio album by the hardcore punk pioneers Bad Brains. It is the band's first album since I Against I; released in 1986 with its original lineup. It was released in 1995 on Maverick Records, after the band was signed to the label by Madonna.
The release contains more reggae than any other Bad Brains album, although the heavy title track received video airplay on MTV.
Backed by huge promotion from the label and an opening slot on the Beastie Boys' Ill Communication tour, the band fell apart as the volatile singer, H.R., was arrested in several instances involving beating a skinhead, a security guard, and the band's manager in separate incidents throughout the tour. The band missed a performance at Madison Square Garden with Beastie Boys due to H.R.'s behavior, leading to yet another breakup. The band later reunited in 1997.
This album was re-released on Record Store Day, April 16, 2011, as only 2,000 copies along with a 7".

Life and Perspectives of a Genuine Crossover (Tokyo Live 1992)
Urban Dance Squad
Life 'n Perspectives of a Genuine Crossover is the second album by Dutch band Urban Dance Squad. The album showcases an even more diverse mix of music genres than their debut album, genres including hard rock, hip-hop, funk, blues, ska, Caribbean music and an Indian flavour on "Bureaucrat of Flaccostreet". AllMusic calls the album "aimless", particularly in comparison with their first album. Critic Steven Blush, who interviewed the band in New York just prior to the album's release, called it "stellar".
The album, unhelped by a single, did not sell particularly well and the band was unhappy with the label's marketing efforts. The UDS left Arista and signed with Virgin Records. A version of the album from 1999 released by Triple X Records includes a second CD, containing a UDS show in Tokyo, 1992.

Fishbone & The Familyhood Nextperience Presents The Psychotic Friends Nuttwerx
Fishbone
Fishbone and the Familyhood Nextperience Present: The Psychotic Friends Nuttwerx is the sixth album from alternative rock band Fishbone. It features a large number of special guests and is the only Fishbone album released on Disney's Hollywood Records.
Whereas the band's previous album, the angry Chim Chim's Badass Revenge, contained some of the band's heaviest moments, Psychotic Friends Nuttwerx is full of sunny reggae, ska and pop hooks that make it the most accessible Fishbone album to date. The album has cameos from H.R. of Bad Brains, Gwen Stefani, George Clinton, Rose Stone, Rick James, John Frusciante and Flea of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Durga McBroom, best known for her work with Pink Floyd, and many others.
While AllMusic called it the band's best album in a decade, it received little support from the band's record label, and Fishbone once again found themselves without a record deal.
"Where'd You Get Those Pants?" uses the same melody as "Weed Plant", another Fishbone song.

Chim Chim's Badass Revenge
Fishbone
Chim Chim's Badass Revenge is the fifth full-length album and concept album from alternative rock band Fishbone. It was Fishbone's first studio album in three years following the departure of founding members Kendall Jones and Chris Dowd and the band being dropped by Sony Records. It was also their last album with founding member Philip "Fish" Fisher, who would eventually leave the band two years later.
The band's recent experiences prompted the album's themes of racism and music industry practices, and Chim Chim's Badass Revenge includes some of the band's heaviest songs, such as the hardcore punk title track, "Riot" and "Psychologically Overcast". The album was produced by Dallas Austin, who said he wanted to take Fishbone to the next level as Rick Rubin had done with Red Hot Chili Peppers. In 1997, Austin would use Fishbone as the backing band for Amoeba Cleansing Syndrome, the second album by R&B singer Joi Gilliam.
The Familyhood have often also criticized the album for being poorly mixed both levelly and sonically.

Give A Monkey A Brain And He'll Swear He's The Center Of The Universe
Fishbone
Give a Monkey a Brain and He'll Swear He's the Center of the Universe is the fourth full-length album from Funk Metal and Ska band Fishbone. It is the last album to feature all six original members, as guitarist Kendall Jones left the band a few months after the album's release, and keyboardist/trombonist Chris Dowd would leave the next year.
It is Fishbone's heaviest album, with the band focusing on heavy metal without any trace of their trademark horn section until the fourth song, the ska-infused "Unyielding Conditioning". Saxophonist Branford Marsalis makes an appearance on the manic "Drunk Skitzo", and the ending of "Swim" includes excerpts of a Damon Wayans stand-up routine about his experience at a Fishbone concert.
Shortly after the release of the album, the band toured as part of the third annual Lollapalooza festival, but was dropped by Sony Records the following year.
The title is a quotation from the discordian religious text Principia Discordia.

The Reality Of My Surroundings
Fishbone

Truth And Soul
Fishbone
Truth and Soul is the second album by American funk-rock and ska band Fishbone. It was released on September 13, 1988. As is typical of the band's history of music the album features a wide array of genres including punk, ska, reggae, soul, funk, and blues. Additionally, Truth and Soul includes the band's earliest foray into hard rock and heavy metal music. The album begins with a cover version of Curtis Mayfield's "Freddie's Dead," originally from the soundtrack to the film Super Fly.

In Your Face
Fishbone
In Your Face is the debut studio album by American ska and funk metal band Fishbone, released on November 30, 1986. The record is the band's second major label release for Columbia Records following their self-titled EP from the previous year.
As would be characteristic of the band's music for their entire career, In Your Face contains a mix of ska, reggae, soul, punk and funk, but displayed very little influence in hard rock and heavy metal as the band would adopt in future records.

Fishbone
Fishbone
Fishbone is the recording debut of alternative group Fishbone. This six-song EP was released in 1985 and captures the band at the height of their early funk/ska era. The track "Party at Ground Zero" remains one of the band's most popular tracks.
The track "V.T.T.L.O.T.F.D.G.F." stands for "Voyage to the Land of the Freeze-Dried Godzilla Farts", as confirmed on the band's website, and is about a government attempt to convince the public that Hiroshima was actually caused by Godzilla farting.
