Future Politics
Austra
Future Politics is the third studio album by Canadian electronic music band Austra. It was released on January 20, 2017, by Domino worldwide and by Pink Fizz Records in Canada. The album was inspired by frontwoman Katie Stelmanis' time living in Montreal and Mexico City, while also drawing inspiration from Massive Attack, Latin-American record producers, E. E. Cummings, accelerationism, and Judith Butler. The cover art was photographed at Mexican architect Luis Barragán's Cuadra San Cristóbal in Mexico City.

Miss Anthropocene
Grimes
Miss Anthropocene is the upcoming fifth studio album by Canadian musician Grimes, scheduled to be released on February 21, 2020. It was announced on March 19, 2019. The album's name is a pun on the feminine title "Miss", and the words "misanthrope" and "Anthropocene", a neologism popularised in the year 2000 by Paul J. Crutzen that was proposed to denote the current geological age the Earth is in. The album is a loose concept album about an "anthropomorphic goddess of climate change" inspired by Roman mythology and villainy. Miss Anthropocene is Grimes' final album on record label 4AD, which she had been signed to since 2012. Sonically, the album is a departure from Grimes' 2015 album Art Angels: Miss Anthropocene is primarily darker in style containing inspiration from the sounds of nu metal and ethereal wave compared to Art Angels' brighter and more upbeat sounds.

Art Angels
Grimes
Art Angels is the fourth studio album by Canadian singer and songwriter Claire Boucher, professionally known as Grimes. It was digitally released on November 6, 2015, by 4AD, and in physical formats on December 11. Boucher began planning the record in 2013 as the follow-up to her third studio album Visions, however she scrapped most of the material from these sessions and began a new set of recordings in 2014. The track "Realiti", which came from the earlier recordings, was released as a demo in early 2015.
Art Angels has been described as being more accessible than Boucher's previous albums while retaining her experimental influences. The album features guest appearances by Taiwanese rapper Aristophanes and American singer Janelle Monáe. The album spawned two singles—"Flesh Without Blood" and "Kill V. Maim"—as well as music videos for several tracks. Art Angels sold 11,000 copies in its first week in the United States and became Boucher's highest-charting album so far. The album was released to widespread critical acclaim and was ranked by several publications as one of the best albums of 2015.

Visions
Grimes
Grimes' voice on Visions will get stuck in your head. Not just her agile melodies or her pop-smart lyrics—although those will, too—but that strange, elfin voice. Or voices, really, since electro-pop artist Claire Boucher frequently loops and layers herself into harmonious polyphony. This makes her solo songs surprisingly roomy and active, her main register—a high voice that often strays into baby-ish twee—playing against thumping beats, spacey synths and less modulated vocals without cluttering up the frequency range. It's a captivating sound, but it would be academic without such supremely catchy pop tunes as back-to-back pair "Genesis," with its koto-like synth lines and ecstatic chorus, and "Oblivion," which displaces girl group harmonies and handclaps for a dark, stalking taunt.
