Kevin Kern Albums
When I Remember
Christmas is the first Christmas album and tenth studio album overall from American new-age pianist Kevin Kern, and the first to be released on his own label, Kevin Kern Music. As with his other albums, it is an album of instrumental songs, in this case instrumental covers of Christmas carols and hymns. It was released on October 15, 2012.
Enchanted Piano is the ninth studio album from American new-age pianist Kevin Kern, and his tenth overall. As with his preceding and succeeding albums, it is an album of instrumental songs. It was released on January 17, 2012.
Unlike Kern's past albums, this album breaks away from his other in the way that it is recorded solely on the piano; as such, there are no other instruments whatsoever on the album. In addition to this, these songs are re-recorded versions of past Kern compositions that appeared on his previous albums; none of the songs here are new.
None of the songs from In My Life, The Winding Path, or Endless Blue Sky were re-recorded for this album.
Endless Blue Sky
Endless Blue Sky is the eighth studio album from American new-age pianist Kevin Kern. As with his preceding albums, it is an album of instrumental songs. It was released on January 27, 2009.
It is his first album to include the concept of bonus tracks, the Asian version having one, a cover of Jay Chou's "A Thousand Miles Away". It is also his first studio album to exceed eleven tracks, and the first studio album to exceed an hour in length - previously, only his compilation albums were over an hour long.
Endless Blue Sky
Imagination's Light is the seventh studio album from American new-age pianist Kevin Kern. As with his preceding albums, it is an album of instrumental songs, this time with one song being a cover version of a song by Sting. It was released on July 19, 2005.
This album reveals Kern's technique of making songs ever since he was a child: sitting by the piano in a darkened room and letting the light of imagination guide him. The liner notes mention that he does this until now.
Before creating this album, Kern was invited to become a Steinway Artist, and as such played a Steinway piano for Imagination's Light.
The Winding Path
The Winding Path is the sixth studio album from American new age pianist Kevin Kern. As with his preceding and succeeding albums, it is an album of instrumental songs. It was released on June 3, 2003, his first after his best-of album More Than Words: The Best of Kevin Kern.
The album's liner notes feature a guide to healing visualization based around the songs on the album. Kern is joined here by Randy and Pamela Copus, the duo that makes up the new age band 2002.
More Than Words
More Than Words: The Best of Kevin Kern, or simply More Than Words, is the first compilation album from American new-age pianist Kevin Kern. As with his preceding and succeeding albums, it is an album of instrumental songs. The compilation contains two new compositions, plus songs from all five of Kern's previous studio albums. It was released on September 3, 2002.
"Out of the Darkness into the Light" is not actually a new composition for the album per se; the liner notes indicate that it was composed for a Real Music compilation album called Freedom to Love, and that it was only re-arranged for More Than Words. "Children at Play", however, was specifically made for this album.
The track listing printed is incorrect; track 14 is actually "A Gentle Whisper", taken from the same album as "Blossom on the Wind" was from. However, Kevin Kern's official website still lists the song as "Blossom on the Wind" and plays a snippet of that song when selected; on the other hand, Allmusic correctly depicts the snippet and duration, but still incorrectly labels the song title.
Embracing the Wind
Embracing the Wind is the fifth album from American new-age pianist Kevin Kern. As with his preceding and succeeding albums, it is an album of instrumental songs. It was released on April 3, 2001.
The song "From This Day Forward" is dedicated to Kern's now-wife Pamela Gibbs; according to the liner notes, they celebrated their wedding on 26 June 2001.
In My Life
In My Life is the fourth album from American new-age pianist Kevin Kern. As with his preceding and succeeding albums, it is an album of instrumental songs. It was released on August 24, 1999.
This is Kern's first album to feature compositions not written by him; prior to this, all of his album's songs were solely self-composed.
