Must have LoG Resolution is a great album. It has quite a bit of polish while still remaining raw and unadulterated. Heavy metal to the core! Pros: Excellent drum riffs with very complex rhythms, Adler at his best. Killer guitar solos throughout the album. Variety of vocal techniques/styles used across the songs providing variety. Cons: No strong hooks making the album less catchy than previous albums. Less plateaus and peaks than previous LoG records, making the songs stand out less from each other. Instruments and vocals seem less coordinated than I'm accustomed to with LoG songs.
Took a few listens to get it - hooked now The first time through I was a bit underwhelmed. I'd been listening to Wrath a lot recently and this album sounded very different to me. There were a couple standouts initially (Straight for the Sun, The Number Six) but that was it. But with any new album, you really need to give it a few listens before concluding much. Well, I'm glad I did - this is an awesome album. The songs are dynamic, musicianship is tight to the extreme and the production sounds great. Praises to LOG for another killer album.
Excellent I have listened to lamb of God since the "New American Gospel" days, and this release is incredible. These guys keep getting better an better with each album they put out, they've grown musically and as a band; an this album proves it. HEAVY-F**KING-METAL!
Solid Admittedly, I'm one of those people who will say "Man this band used to be so much better like 4 albums ago..." Yes, I personally prefer most of their older work, but this is a good album. I was initially disappointed by Ghost Walking as the teaser. But LoG knows what's up. The middle of this album is tremendous, groovy and pointed. The Undertow is absolutely brutal. Guilty is awesome. Middle 4-5 songs really drive this into a great release. A big step up from Wrath and Sacrament. It will grow on u fast.
Welcome Back Lamb of God This album goes straight back to the roots of Lamb. The have shaken off all that hardcore garbage and are back into Metal in a big way. This album goes all over the place from melodic metal moments like "King Me" and heavy pounders like "To The End" which sounds like a harken back to Pantera. I am in love with this album and will be listening to it for a good long while. Metal bands out there please take note on how to do an album correctly.
Lamb of God IS Metal! I love this band and this CD! I've yet to hear anything disappointing by them. King me and Desolation are my favorites on this one.
