Ace of Base
Happy Nation is the debut studio album by Swedish pop group Ace of Base. It was initially released in Denmark on 16 November 1992 by Mega Records. During development of the record, the group was heavily influenced by a Jamaican reggae band residing in a nearby studio. In 1995, Guinness Book of World Records named the LP the best-selling debut studio effort in music history, at more than 19 million copies sold worldwide. By 2007, Happy Nation/The Sign had sold approximately 23 million units including 9 million in the US alone.

Fever is the eighth studio album by Australian singer Kylie Minogue, released on 1 October 2001 internationally by Parlophone. The album was later released in the United States on 26 February 2002 by Capitol Records and was Minogue's first album release in the region since her second studio album Enjoy Yourself. Minogue worked with writers and producers such as Cathy Dennis, Rob Davis, Richard Stannard, Julian Gallagher, TommyD, Tom Nichols, Pascal Gabriel and others to create the disco and Europop-influenced dance-pop album. Other musical influences of the album range from synthpop to club music.
Four singles were released from the album. Its lead single "Can't Get You Out of My Head" was released in September 2001 and became a massive commercial success, peaking atop the charts of 40 countries and selling more than six million copies worldwide. The song, which is often recognised as Minogue's signature song, is her highest selling single as of today and one of the best-selling singles of all time. Follow-up singles "In Your Eyes" and "Love at First Sight" also performed well on charts internationally.

200 km/h in the Wrong Lane is the debut English studio album by Russian duo t.A.T.u., first released on 10 December 2002 by Interscope Records. It is the duo's first studio album to be associated with Interscope after signing to Universal Music Russia, the label they signed to in 1998. Due to the duo's lack of English vocabulary, the album was produced and written by producers such as Trevor Horn, Martin Kierszenbaum, Sergio Galoyan, Robert Orton and Ivan Shapovalov, who was placed as the duo's manager and executive producer. 200 km/h lyrically explores themes such as teenage rebellion, love, sexuality, sadness, independence and social rebellion.
The album received mixed reaction from contemporary music critics. Many critics praised the catchiness and production standards, while ambivalent towards the group's tacky imagery and vocal abilities. Upon its release, it debuted inside the top ten in many European countries including Denmark, Austria, Finland and Italy. It became the group's best-selling album on the US Billboard 200, peaking at thirteen. The album became the highest selling album in Russia. with estimated shipments of one million copies.
