Heavy (feat. Kiiara)
I mean come on its Linkin Park. Do you like LP or do you like rock? So much people crying about how they changed, lets get over it. Everything is changing and if you are a true LP fan you are going to love this new single/album like you did with the previous other style albums they had. This song has a lot to say and I am looking for what they have in their sleeves. Keep going guys!
Linkin Park has the guts to come up with something new everytime. The sounds are so rich. Not every band can do this. They evolve with every album. This track is a proof of the same. Like Mike said "Genre is dead". The song sounds amazing, lyrics relate to emotions and the melody is catchy. I think that's what matters.
Disappointed Chester sound weak and as if he is out of breath, lack of instrumentation, generic pop style formula. This is not experimentation or a Linkin Park style, it is as if they just abandon their style and follow the pop formula instead. Kiiara vocal is the saving grace here. Of all the direction they went, they go pop instead.
Um...I'm disappointed. It's okay but this just doesn't feel like LP. It's super mixed for me though bc I like the song but then I remember that this is the new Linkin Park track and I just get kinda sad. I'm not one of those fans that only want HT and Meteora. But I want Linkin Park. Every album they've made had a feel to it. They always changed their sound but they never changed their style, and this just doesn't feel like LP. It doesn't sound like any of the band members except Chester and Mike had any input on this song. And Mike isn't in the song at all. Idk I'm optimistic for the album but man, I'm not super happy rn
Contrary to popular belief, I actually like LP from Hybrid Theory to Living Things. After that however, the quality dropped off massively. Hunting Party had a lot of really bad things going on, but even it didn't hit this level. This is pure trash. Its radio pop. It has nothing unique to it, and ops for a copy paste of current chart topping, thoughtless drivel. I never thought they would sink this low. I guess they just ran out of ideas, and didn't have the integrity and pride as artists to leave it there.
I'm all for LP changing their style and have been an avid listener since day one but this is one change too far. Since when did LP cater for the Burner and Swift market? Downright awful & disappointing...
