Season High is certainly Little Dragon's more consistent, if accessible album to date. It serves as an 80's flashback to the emergence of Euro Pop and presents their willingness to reach the masses. Though not as gripping as their indie debut, it offers no more than simply dance floor fodder. Still there are note worthy tracks such as the fetching vintage 80's burners "Celebrate" and "Sweet," which is surely built to get you bopping along. It's a mixed bag from there as it serves up feel good mellow mood tracks like "High," "Butterfly" and "Should I." Then stumbles back into it's Euro discotech mindset. All in all It's a solid effort in my opinion and deserves the same open ear as their indie albums. And it only proves that Little Dragon is eager to stretch out and reach further than just their cult status.
I love the never ending innovation and awesome beats created by this group. I heard the track High earlier this year and knew that I was in for a treat once they released their album.
