I don't know why everyone always cries when Muse makes a new song or album. It's always "Waaahh I miss their old sound" or "Waaahh this sounds like so and so" or "Waaahh it needs to sound like Absolution and Plug-In Baby". Why are you "fans" even around still? If you want their old stuff then buy their old albums and move on. Anyways, this is a great song. Sounds like Madness without the pressure or influence of doing dubstep sounds for the sake of trends.
Muss changes their sound as every album comes out. This song does not mean that their next album is going to be JUST LIKE this song. Get over yourselves, Muse changes. Its what makes them MUSE! If it wasn't for a change in genre like they enjoy doing, Muse wouldn't be what it is today. So shut up and enjoy the song or get out. Very similar to Madness but with a very powerful message. 5/5 👏
An incredibly shallow song that could have been saved if the climax had more punch, it felt like it built up to absolutely nothing. Terrible lyrics even for Muse. I had hoped that Drones was a step in the right direction, but based on this song, I'm expecting a sequel to The 2nd Law, Muse's worst album by far.
No soul whatsoever, droning pseudo guitar sounds, has a lot of similarities with with late 90's George Micheal. A solid pass for me. My dance loving wife will love it though.
Recycling, not reinventing themselves. They've abandoned reaching for new limits & horizons and are just resting on their laurels now. Plus this song really goes nowhere. So disappointing.
To be perfectly honest, while its fun to listen to, it's just like a wannabe madness. The lyrical value is much more powerful however, where it lacks in riffs it makes up for it in this aspect.
