Streets of London (feat. The Crisis Choir & guest vocalist Annie Lennox)
Brilliant evocative recording. A must buy for a great cause. When all the television commercials are " Buy this... buy that" so your family have the "best Christmas ever," think of the lonely, the homeless, the desperate. This puts life in perspective. We who have a roof over our heads, food always on the table, warm clothes to wear... family to care for us, must remember those less fortunate. Always there are one or two small unforeseen, unexpected steps that could, for any of us, lead to a life on the streets. For the best Christmas in a long time for someone homeless, please support.
A beautiful version. Why are we in this appalling situation? - there are more food banks in the UK than there are MacDonalds! We are truly living in sad times. So much greed So much hate
Not brought music in a long time, but this was well worth it. A top magical live performance on the telly the other night, loved it and almost brought a tear to my eye. Wasn't sure how the recorded version was going to be compared to the live one but they've done a top job capturing the same essence. Top job to everyone involved. 5 stars all the way.
Beautiful song rerecorded by the original singer/songwriter with Annie Lennox and the Crisis choir for charity. Please purchase as every penny counts.
Surprised I hadn't heard about this new version, sad as ever but lovely. Unfortunately, probably more relevant to the world we live in nowadays, than it had been, for a very short time, in the interim, since it was first released.
Great re-recording of a classic track, for a great cause too.
