Era is the seventh studio album released by the Italian folk/power metal band, Elvenking. The album returns more to the band's traditional sound of folk metal and power metal incorporating more folk elements into the songs that were more so lacking from previous albums such as The Scythe and Red Silent Tides. Guest appearances on vocals by Jon Oliva, and Netta Dahlberg as well as a guitar solo performed by Teemu Mantysaari of can be heard on the album. Prior to the album's release, Damna and Aydan did a sit down via YouTube going through the album track-by-track describing to fans where each song is coming from and what went into writing and recording the songs.
Among Beggars And Thieves
Among Beggars and Thieves is the sixth album by the Swedish power metal band Falconer, released on September 2, 2008 through Metal Blade Records. It was produced by Andy LaRocque. A heavier album than Northwind, it tells the tale of the hardships of medieval Sweden. Some of the songs seem heavily inspired by actual historical events. For example, the song "Man of the Hour" apparently deals with the fate of the Swedish 17th century warship Kronan, the lyrics of "Mountain Men" bear a strong resemblance to the Engelbrekt rebellion, and "Boiling Led" appears to be about the assassination of Sverker I of Sweden.
The Fall of an Empire
Returning from an extended sabbatical that saw most of the band's lineup turn over, French prog metal outfit Fairyland return with their most symphonic album yet. Opening with a "Carmina Burana" soundalike intro track called "Endgame" (which reappears in various guises thrice more over the course of the album, like it's a recurrent theme in the Lord of the Rings soundtracks), Fall of an Empire sounds like some kind of cross between lightweight '80s poodle metal and the most Rick Wakeman-like excesses of '70s prog. [The CD was also released with a bonus track.]
The Battle of the Ivory Plains (Deluxe Edition)
The Battle of the Ivory Plains is the debut album by the power metal band Dragonland, based on the first part of The Dragonland Chronicles saga.
It was first released on March 12, 2001 with the label Black Lotus but since then has been re-released by The End Records with one bonus track. The Japanese Edition contains the songs from the "Storming Across Heaven" demo as bonus tracks.
Beyond the Space, Beyond the Time
Beyond the Space, Beyond the Time is the debut album by Polish power/heavy metal band Pathfinder. The album was co-produced by the sound engineer Mariusz Pietka and Pathfinder, and was originally released to Asian audiences through Radtone Records on April 14, 2010 and later, worldwide through Sonic Attack Records.
The band's first music video, for the song The Lord of Wolves, was released on 15 March 2011.
Mortal Mind Creation
