A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships
A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships is the third studio album by English band The 1975, released on 30 November 2018 by Dirty Hit and Polydor Records. It was produced by band members George Daniel and Matthew Healy, and is the band's first album not to be produced with regular collaborator Mike Crossey.
Following the release of the band's previous album, I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful yet So Unaware of It, Healy announced the album with a working title of Music for Cars, sharing the name with the band's third extended play. Following a nearly year long hiatus, Healy announced that the album had grown into the band's titular third campaign, and that ABIIOR was the first of two albums within the cycle. The second, Notes on a Conditional Form, will be released on February 21, 2020.
The band released five singles from the album: "Give Yourself a Try", "Love It If We Made It", "TooTimeTooTimeTooTime", "Sincerity Is Scary" and "It's Not Living". Upon release, the album received critical acclaim, who applauded its eclectic nature and lyrical relevance; some critics drew comparison to Radiohead's OK Computer.
I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it
II Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It is the second studio album by English rock band the 1975, released on 26 February 2016 through Dirty Hit and Polydor. In 2014, frontman Matt Healy released a series of cryptic tweets containing lyrics from the album, revealing its title the following year. After their social accounts were deleted and reinstated with a new visual identity, the band officially confirmed the album in September 2015, a month before "Love Me" was released as the lead single. Over the course of five months, "Ugh!", "Somebody Else" and "The Sound" were released as singles, with "A Change of Heart" released four days prior to release. "She's American" and "Loving Someone" were later released in November 2016 and February 2017 as the final singles.
Upon its release, the album received positive reviews from critics, and was regarded by many as one of the best of 2016. It was also a commercial success, topping the charts in the United Kingdom and the United States, and its box set received a nomination for Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package at the 2017 Grammy Awards.
