Not that I don't like this album, but for CHVRCHES it's been their most uninspired project to date. While still enjoying the album as a whole, I barely find it's songs appealing enough to stand out on their own. Except for Graffiti, which is keeping it up to their best work imo.

I'm a big fan of Chvrches - their first album is superb, with every track being strong and also all tracks gelling to produce a solid album. The second album is similar but with generally slightly weaker songs, but it still works well. This, their third album, is unfortunately much poorer. Most of the tracks are very similar - they have the familiar synth-based sound of previous work but the melodies are lacking, there's very little to distinguish one track from another. "Miracle" is the stand-out track, but if it had been present on one of their previous albums it would not have been anything exceptional, so the best work on this album is of the standard of the worst on previous releases. I was hoping for at least as good as their last album but unfortunately that hasn't been the case. This one really feels like it was brought out because it was time to release an album, not because they had produced enough work of a sufficiently high standard to merit a release. A very disappointing third album.
