In 2011, then-unknown pop duo Karmin's rendition of Chris Brown's "Look at Me Now" skyrocketed as one of YouTube's most-viewed videos of the year. The engaged couple, Amy and Nick, soon followed up their viral hit with covers of Lil Wayne, LMFAO and Nicki Minaj, and it was hard to tell whether they were entirely serious—but their major label debut proves that the pair plans to extend their 15 minutes of fame. Referring to themselves as "swag pop," their blustering seven-track release includes hit single "Brokenhearted" and the electro-synth title track, along with production by Stargate and Tricky Stewart. Amy's high-speed raps quickly become grating, although on "I'm Just Sayin'" she admits, "Most people afraid of hearing no/ Got booed off stage once—Apollo."
