The Hamilton Polka
Saw the clip on YouTube from Fallon's Tonight Show. Immediately sought it out on Google Play Music. Destined to become a classic. Hamilton, translated into polka, by Weird Al, bet you never thought those three would appear in the same sentence.
I was just thinking to myself, "Self, y'know what we could really use right now? A new Al Polka." Imagine my delight when this popped up today (honestly, I don't even know from where. Facebook? Twitter? Email? No clue. I was just so happy to have it.) So yeah, it's pretty awesome. Thanks, Al!
I freaking love Hamilton and I freaking love Weird Al! This mashup between 2 things I love makes me happier than watching kitten videos on YouTube. Weird Al totally does Hamilton justice and I've got another amazing Weird Al polka for my Weird Al polka playlist. Hell yeah!
That was FANTASTIC!! Once again Weird Al proves that polka is not dead and that his music is AWESOME.
This is quite possibly my favorite Weird Al polka to date. (Lin-Manuel, if you're wondering if you've 'made it' in the music world, one Weird Al cover means yes. Weird Al covering ~you're entire album? ....uh, yeah, a bit moreso!)
I thought this would be really good...and honestly it's even better than I expected. Two American treasures in one song: Hamilton and Weird Al.
