One of the best albums of this year! From songs about unrequited friendship (and the rarity of good friendships reliant on one another, almost in a transaction nature) in It's Called: Freefall; a genius rap of a fight between the narrator and his love in Recktify; a wonderfully beautiful bit of genius found in Hide, a new anthem for LGBT+ folks across the nation; another anthem to LGBT+ and allies, Holy War is about screaming at the void, as people are time and time again victimized by Babylon declaring them unclean -- the impoverished, the queer, the lovers are all the victims of this new crusade in the heartlands of America (where liberty and truth is selectively applied). Matchbox and Moody Orange round out the islands of songs, with a nice sherbet finish in Possum Queen... & Polite Company slow rolling to the finish. RKS is just bottling up the zeitgeist and selling it to music lovers everywhere. It's a brilliant album, and the constant bridges that shift the scenes in every song? I'm in love with this album. It's like a well-built house by a group that just loves building things that last -- it's going to be timeless, but still rooted in this moment, in our time.
Love this band so much! Can't stop listening to them
