Review from Sara Gliem
Crao So over this douche. All of his music sounds the same
Summer - Calvin Harris I love Calvin Harris, 18 months was one of the best albums I've heard. But this songs break feels like something I've heard before. A semi-generic synth, a bass that is commonly used by EDM producers, and even pop producers use. But the uniqueness comes through on the verses with several pleasant sounding strings and chords, in addition to Harris's signature quirk. Not overwhelmingly original but still good enough for 4 stars!
Instant iconic classic This song is truly the manifestation of Summer itself. Whenever I listen to this song I always think of beaches, cruising, and hanging out with friends. I think about the glorious hot weather and the fresh sea breeze. I think about having fun and being carefree. This is what the insanely catchy beat does to me everytime I hear it on the radio. I can't help it, it's that great. The lyrics itself are simple and repetitive but isn't that what Summer (the season) is about? All in all a classic EDM anthem.
Why This is particularly boring and the voice is beyond obnoxious. The lyrics are vague, the voice is a low whining/moaning, the electronic stuff is atrocious. And what's up with the random electric guitar cord? It's not a solo or anything just a random single strum
His voice kills babies Every time I hear him sing, I feel like I could be paid to do this. Not a good song at all. Poor taste.
Summer Honestly Calvin Harris has to be my favorite in EDM/House. Every new song I hear that I love always ends up being a Calvin Harris song. Summer is such a feel good song...can't stop listening
Horrible! Can someone please tell him he can't sing?!?! The beat is not the best and I've heard almost the exact same thing. Overall it's not a good thing. I don't recommend buying this track, you could do so much better.
