Hiroshi Itsuki is a Japanese singer and composer. As of 1987, he had sold 20 million singles and 4 million LP albums.
Itsuki is usually regarded as an enka singer, but he has also released a cover version of Southern All Stars' J-pop song "Tsunami".

Harumi Miyako is a Japanese singer of enka.
Born Harumi Kitamura in Kyoto, she made her debut in 1964. Her popularity has lasted: she makes frequent appearances in the annual television spectacular Kōhaku Uta Gassen and has acted in a number of films.

Hibari Misora was a Japanese singer, actress and cultural icon. She received a Medal of Honor for her contributions to music and for improving the welfare of the public, and was the first woman to receive the People's Honour Award which was conferred posthumously for giving the public hope and encouragement after World War II.
Misora recorded a total of 1,200 songs, and sold 68 million records. After she died consumer demand for her recordings grew significantly and by 2001 she had sold more than 80 million records. Her male contemporary was Michiya Mihashi and although he was more popular as a singer, Misora's movie career made her more popular with the general public. Her swan-song "Kawa no Nagare no Yō ni" is often performed by numerous artists and orchestras as a tribute to her, including notable renditions by The Three Tenors, Teresa Teng, and Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan.
Each year there is a special on Japanese television and radio featuring her songs. A memorial concert for Misora was held at the Tokyo Dome on November 11, 2012.

Sayuri Ishikawa, is a Japanese enka singer. She is a popular contestant on the annual NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen broadcast, having appeared 36 times since 1977. Ishikawa made her name performing the classic "Tsugaru Kaikyo-Fuyugeshiki". She has released over 100 albums and 115 singles, the latest single being "Anya no Shinju Date" released on April 2, 2014. Her first single was "Kakurenbo" released in 1973.

Yujiro Ishihara was a Japanese actor and singer born in Kobe. His elder brother is Shintaro Ishihara, an author, politician, and the Governor of Tokyo between 1999 and 2012. Yujiro's film debut was the 1956 film Season of the Sun, based on a novel written by his brother. He was beloved by many fans as a representative youth star in the films of postwar Japan and subsequently as a macho movie hero. He was extravagantly mourned following his early death from liver cancer.

Sachiko Kobayashi, born on December 5, 1953 in Niigata, Japan, is a female Japanese enka singer and occasional voice actor. She previously worked alongside the Pokémon Company, under the alias "Garura Kobayashi".

Takashi Hosokawa, born 細川貴志 on 15 June 1950, Makkari, Abuta District, Hokkaidō, Japan is a Japanese enka singer.
In 1975, he debuted with the song "Kokoro Nokori". Hosokawa immediately became one of the most popular enka and pop singers in Japan. He took part in the Kōhaku Uta Gassen for 32 consecutive years, but he was finally forced to reject NHK's offer in 2007 due to the Enten controversy.

Shinichi Mori is a Japanese male enka singer and composer, who also sings folk and pop music. He has sold more than 90 million records, making him one of the best selling Japanese musicians.
Shinichi's real name is Kazuhiro Moriuchi. He has been married and divorced twice, first to Reiko Ohara and then to Masako Mori. His sons, Takahiro Moriuchi and Hiroki Moriuchi are vocalist of the rock bands ONE OK ROCK and MY FIRST STORY, respectively.

Saori Yuki is a Japanese singer and actress. She was born as Akiko Yasuda in Kiryū, Gunma, Japan and raised in Yokohama. She started her singing career with her older sister Sachiko as a child singer. In 1965 she debuted with the single "Hitchhike Musume (Hitchhiking girl)" on King Records (Japan) as Akiko Yasuda.

Yoshi Ikuzō is the stage name of Yoshihito Kamata, a Japanese famous enka singer-songwriter.
Enka is a popular genre akin to Japanese folk music or blues music in the Western world. He has released several popular albums. Amongst his most famous hits are "Sake-yo", "Suika", and "Yuki Guni".
He also claimed that he became the first popular hip hop artist in Japan by his 1984 song "Ora Tokyo sa Iguda", which is sung in the Tsugaru dialect of Japanese.
He has been on tour with fellow Japanese star Fukui Kodai.
His wife is named Hisako, and they have a daughter, Ikumi. His stage name is a pun for "Yoshi, ikuzo!".
