Ti.Pi.Cal. is a eurodance project founded in 1993. The group's name derives from the initials of the last names of the three founding members, the Sicilian producers and deejays Daniele Tignino, Riccardo Piparo and Vincenzo Callea. Their major hits were the songs "Round and Round" and "The Colour Inside", which both ranked first at the Italian singles hit parade, respectively in February and between July and August 1995. In 1996, the members of the group started a side project called Kasto.
Datura is an Italian techno band. It was created in 1991 by the musicians Ciro Pagano and Stefano Mazzavillani and the DJs Ricci who is now deceased, and Cirillo, who continues to work in Italy, Ibiza, Morocco, and England. The first single was "Nu Style", in the summer of 1991, followed by "Yerba Del Diablo", a cover of Visage's "Fade to Grey", and "Eternity". With "Angeli Domini", in 1995, DJ Ricci left the group for other more techno independent projects. In 1997, their "Voo-Doo Believe?" reached number 17 on Hot Dance Club Songs. The name "Datura" is taken from a hallucinogenic plant.
