Michael J. Fillmore

Michael J. Fillmore is a singer-songwriter from Omaha, NE.

The consummate performer, his original songs are delivered with a subtle vocal intensity. On his studio albums, Mr. Fillmore accompanies himself on guitar, which he strums and fingerpicks with heroic competence. In addition to pounding the flat-top, he can be heard playing the mandolin, ukulele, balalaika, and harmonica.

Part singer-songwriter, part comedian, Mr. Fillmore's lyrics are clever, often ridiculous, and always entertaining.

Michael is the sole performer on all of his studio albums. On his live albums, Mr. Fillmore is accompanied by His Good-time Buddies: Jay Spiegelman on banjo and percussion and Brian Linnell on bass. Be sure to check out The Velvet Argyle, also available in the Google Play Store, to hear Mr. Fillmore's music from the 1990's.

In addition to his original music, Mr. Fillmore is also a trained Byzantine chanter. He expects to release an album of traditional Byzantine chant in the next few years.

Michael J. Fillmore and his wife, Mrs. Lana Fillmore, have 4 children: Samuel, Johanna, Declan, & Nora. Mr. Fillmore works in the insurance industry, has appeared as a contestant on Wheel of Fortune, has survived a near-death infection of necrotizing fasciitis, and is an all-around good guy.
